South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit – SC CWP

This course is mandated by the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division, for all persons wishing to obtain a Concealed Weapons Permit in the State of South Carolina.

The course includes statutory and case law regarding the use of deadly force, SC laws governing CWP and firearms, storage practices, prohibited carry locations, liability and responsibility issues, interaction with law enforcement, firearms safety rules, safety, nomenclature, manipulation and operation, marksmanship, concealment methods and qualification. Students must pass written tests and the qualification course, per SLED.

The class is an average of 8 hours. This course is $100 and does not include the $50 processing fee owed to SLED. Students will also be required to obtain finger prints and a photo prior to submitting all paperwork to SLED.

The below information is the round count needed for this course at ODS. Please ensure that you bring the correct ammunition for your gun. We ask that you do not use reloads in our courses. For your convenience, you can purchase ammunition from ODS. We ask that you contact ODS at least 24 hours prior to class so we may check availability.
