Criminal Patrol Techniques and Concealment Methods (2 Day Course)

This class will give the officers the knowledge and skills to assist them in being able to recognize traits and trends that are common among persons involved in criminal activity, during traffic stops. Being able to identify suspicious and nervous behavior and recognize warning signs will ensure that the officers are able to take precautions to ensure their safety. Officers will also learn to conduct a proper roadside interview that will allow them to further the investigation and possibly identify additional suspects. Proper search techniques will ensure that nothing will be missed and that the contraband will be located no matter how well it may be hidden. Officers will also discuss case law, case preparation, proper documentation, K9 considerations and courtroom testimony.
