ADVANCED K9

This course is designed to be both an introduction to criminal interdiction, for less experienced Officers, as well as a refresher for a seasoned veteran. Several topics will be covered in the course to include understanding interdiction, common smuggling methods, vehicles checkpoints and traffic stops, observing suspicious behavior, making contact with drivers and passengers, recognizing warming signs, roadside interviews, search techniques and concealment areas.
